Executive Restructure Business Development

MMG has today announced the restructure of Executive Committee responsibilities to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Executive General Manager – Business Development, Michael Nossal, announced in May this year.

The revised Executive Committee Accountabilities will be:

Chief Financial Officer, David Lamont: Commercial and Finance; Mergers & Acquisitions; Project Delivery and Exploration.

Executive General Manager – China and Strategy, Jiqing Xu: China and Major Shareholder Relations; Strategy; and International Affairs.

Chief Operating Officer, Marcelo Bastos: Operations; Group Technical Services; and Sales and Marketing.

Executive General Manager – Business Support, Greg Travers: Human Resources; Remuneration and Benefits; SHEC, Information Technology; Shared Business Services, Legal and Company Secretary, Enterprise Risk and Supply.

Executive General Manager – Stakeholder Relations, Troy Hey: Corporate Affairs, Stakeholder Relations; and Sustainable Development.

“The changes reflect current market conditions and operating environment and deliver a more streamlined management structure with clear functional and operating accountabilities,” said MMG Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Michelmore. “This change leverages the breadth of skills in the executive team, offers development opportunities and positions the business to deliver to its medium term growth objectives.”

“Our focus for 2015 remains firmly on safe, efficient operations and the delivery of our transformational Las Bambas project,” Andrew said. “Project and operations accountabilities for the Las Bambas Project remain unchanged.”
