Mr Xu Jiqing will join MMG Limited (MMG) as Executive General Manager – Strategic Planning with immediate effect.
Based at MMG’s Melbourne head office, Jiqing will report to Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Michelmore and assume responsibility for Strategic Planning as a member of the Executive Committee.
Jiqing has been a non-executive director of MMG since May 2009, and will leave his role as Chief Financial Officer of China Minmetals Non-ferrous Metals Company Limited (CMN), to join MMG.

Jiqing holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of International Business and Economics in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University in Canada. He is a qualified senior accountant in the PRC and is a fellowship member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (FCGA). He has extensive experience in accounting and corporate financial management as part of China Minmetals Corporation.
Jiqing has been re-designated as an executive member of the MMG Board and will relocate with his family from Beijing to Melbourne to take up the role.
